Read. Think. Talk: The Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center Book Discussion Group

Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 5:30 PM

Read. Think. Talk: The Sewell Mill Library & Cultural Center Book Discussion Group, meets each month on the third Wednesday.
Newcomers are always welcome.
This month’s title: Crime and Punishment (Fiction 1866) by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.  Determined to overreach his humanity and assert his untrammeled individual will, Raskolnikov, an impoverished student living in the St. Petersburg of the Tsars, commits an act of murder and theft and sets into motion a story which, for its excruciating suspense, its atmospheric vividness, and its profundity of characterization and vision, is almost unequaled in the literatures of the world.
