*** This ticket provides admission exclusively to SlamATL and no other show/event. Apache clears the entire building of the previous show to prepare for the second show. Please plan accordingly and purchase the correct ticket for your desired show. Thank you for considering Apache Cafe! *** SlamATL is a monthly poetry slam featuring some of the best poetry Atlanta has to offer. This is a POETRY ONLY mic and no tracks will be played. Please see rules below. Finalists will compete in March for a spot on the team representing SlamATL at the 2019 Southern Fried Poetry Slam competition. 1st Saturday Slam Format 14 person slam; 3 rounds; highest score to lowest score from first round determines order for 2nd round; highest score to lowest score from 2nd round determines order for 3rd round. *Cumulative scores from the 1st two rounds will determine who is in the top 4 and those poets’ singular scores from round 2 will be used to determine their order in round 3. Cumulative points are added for all 3 rounds to determine the winners.1st round: 14 poets 2nd round: 8 poets 3rd round: 6 poetsPoints SystemPoets will accumulate points based on attendance and performance. 1st place: 10 points2nd place: 8 points3rd place: 6 points4th place: 4 points5th-12th place: 1 pointThe objective is to accumulate as many points as possible in the preliminary season. in the event of a tie both poets will be awarded corresponding points.Qualifications for FinalsApache Slam Finals will consist of the 12 people with the most points at the end of the preliminary slam season (November- February). Finals will be in March. Repeat RulesPoets may not repeat a poem in the same night. A minimum of 3 unique poems is required to compete this season. Slam RulesPoets will have 3 minutes to present their poem with a 10 second grace period. A .5 time penalty will be applied to every 10 seconds a poet goes over 3:10:01. After 4 minutes a poet will be disqualified. No props are allowed. If you reference something on stage and point to it/pick it up it is considered a prop. Glasses, hats, phones (except when poet is reading from phone), drinks, etc. can all be considered props. JudgesPoets will be judged by 5 random members of the audience. ADMISSION & TIMES: Doors, Dinning, and Drinks @ 6pm  /  Show @ 7pm $15 At the Door - General Admission $10 Advanced - Genral Admission Event admission, the day of, at the door, is CASH. There is an ATM avail inside for your convenience. The Cafe/Bar & accepts Visa, MC, American Express, & Discover. There is a $10 per person minimum for table seating. PARKING: Parking - 3 options: On-street in a marked pay meter space. Most on-street is free after 10:00pm... Read the signs! Big lot between Apache Cafe and the Varisty. Self-pay at the pay kiosk on Spring St or get booted (not us!) GA Tech Hotel and Conference center one block north of us at 4th & Spring, usually $1.50/hr Read hours of operation!  TABLE RESERVATION TICKETS & INFO: (1) Table reservations are generally held until one (1) hour after doors open but make sure to refer to the event's specific ticket rules on Ticketweb; if you have not redeemed your table reservation by the specified time, you will lose your reservation and your table will be made available to others without refund. (2) Table tickets are not required to attend, but they are recommended for guaranteed table seating. Try arriving early to be seated at an open an free table  (3) All reserved and walk-up tables have a $10 minimum per person. (4) A table ticket entitles you to the entire table with the described number of chairs. Do not purchase a table ticket for each person sitting with you at this table. (5) General admission ticket is required per person to enter venue. Purchasing a table reservation does not include the price of admission.
