400: The Ancestral Arrival -- A Negro Spiritual Concert

Belle*Noir Productions in collaboration with Clark Atlanta University Art Museum presents 400: The Ancestral Arrival, A Negro Spiritual concert featuring Jonathan BLANCHARD, Reisha LAUREN & Samuel MARTIN, Jr. with composer, Dr. Sharon J. Willis and artist, Aaron Henderson. The performance complements CAUAM’s Black Optics Residency exhibition Soleil de la Conscience/Sun of Consciousness, which features a work inspired by Mary Prince’s slave narrative. The programming collectively commemorates the arrival and experience of enslaved Africans in the Americas. On October 13th, two performances will occur in the main gallery at Trevor Arnett Hall on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. They will be held at 4pm (Museum viewing at 3:30pm)  and 6pm (Museum viewing at 5:30pm). A portion of each ticket sold will benefit the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum. #villagehigh
