A Strategic SisterCARE Discussion: Lessons from South Africa
A SisterCARE Discussion: Lessons from South Africa a visual display of images and strategic discussion Sponsors include: Sisters of Today & Tomorrow www.SOT2Girls.org We have invited black women led and supporting organizations to a presentation and discussion about the lessons learned during the directors of the SisterCARE Alliance's trip to the 2018 Global Women's Leadership Activism Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a result of discussions between African American and South African sisters who are activists, mothers, business owners, educators and leaders of organizations, we have developed a strategic understanding that is important to discuss. Our goal for this event is to share the lessons learned, exhibit images we captured and encourage a deeper more strategic support system between black women organizations. To connect before this event, please visit SisterCAREAlliance.org. Sisters, because there are many who choose to treat us aggressively just because we are black women, pirate our emotional, intellectual and creative labor and challenge our humanity with brutal violence and injustice daily, it is imperative we learn more about how these same battles are fought and won in other organizations and areas of the world. Until August 5th and beyond that, take good care of yourself as a form of resistance. ❤️ #selfcarerevolution #sistercarealliance
